Just 24 km from Miri, Sarawak's
resource rich Northern Gateway, lies the Kuala Baram Industrial Park.
Timber-based industries, shipbuilding yards, light and medium
industries all come together to form an integrated industrial complex.

Kuala Baram's advantages
for resource-based industries are enormous. The park's position near
the mouth of Baram River is especially useful for timber-based
companies as it provides an easy form of transporting timber products.

The positioning of big timber companies
within the Kuala Baram Industrial Park will enable easy access to and
full utilisation of Sarawak's rich timber resources.
The new Miri Port is also being built
within the area. It began full operation sometime in 1998, the port has
facilities for handling construction materials and heavy machinery and
will cater to the industrial estates around Miri. Shipbuilding yards
will also be available next to the port.
Apart from that Kuala Baram Industial Estate also located next to ASEAN
Bridge which gave all the access to Miri from Brunei and Sabah.
