The Ministry of Industrial Development, Sarawak (MID) is a state agency established in 1987 to spearhead the development of the state's industrial sector. MID is responsible for the promotion, coordination and implementation of industrial development activities in Sarawak.

Hitachi GST Kuching facility to supply global
KUCHING : Kuching, Sarawak's capital became the latest manufacturing facility for Hitachi Global Storage Technologies (Hitachi GST), a subsidiary of Japanese global electronics company, Hitachi. The multi-million dollar investment at Samajaya Free Industrial Zone was the company's latest manufacturing facility in the Asia region and would better serve its clients in the region and also world-wide. > more
